Karl Goldmark (born Károly Goldmark, Keszthely, – Vienna, 2 January 1915) was a Hungarian-born Viennese composer. Karl (Carl) Goldmark, born as Karoly Goldmark and later sometimes known as Carl Goldmark was a Hungarian composer. Goldmark came from a large Jewish family, one of 20 children. His father, Ruben Goldmark, was a chazan to the Jewish congregation at Keszthely, Hungary, where Karl was born.
